Laura Arocha has always been a connector—of people, ideas, and opportunities. With a career spanning from corporate finance to marketing and creative industries, she now brings her expertise to the heart of Columbus as the newest Wed Society franchise owner. She is eager to begin elevating the local wedding community by celebrating its artistry, fostering collaboration, and sharing the stories behind the city’s most stunning celebrations.
Laura: I am a relationship-focused professional with a heart for community and a passion for creativity. I split my time between Florida and Ohio, where I live with my husband of 30 years, our three children, pup, and grand-pup. Whether it’s hosting events, volunteering, or fostering business connections, I love bringing people together through meaningful experiences. When I’m not working, you’ll often find me diving into continued education–especially in digital marketing, design, and wine studies. Currently, I am completing an Event and Wedding Planning course to formalize what I’ve always loved—creating beautiful, memorable celebrations.
Laura: I hold a degree in Marketing from California State University, Fullerton, and began my career at ADP selling payroll solutions to small businesses. Later, I transitioned into their retirement services division, earning Series 6 and 63 licenses and implementing 401(k) plans. From there, my path led me to join Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, specializing in retirement plan services and collaborating closely with financial advisors and regional coordinators.
After starting a family, I shifted into consulting while remaining active in volunteer work, event planning, and continued learning. Over the years, I expanded my skill set into digital marketing and creative industries—blending strong business acumen with a love for design, branding, and community building.
Laura: I was drawn to Wed Society because it aligns seamlessly with both my professional strengths and personal passions–it blends strategic business development with meaningful creativity and community connection. I’ve always been inspired by the talent and dedication of the professionals who bring top-tier events to life, and I’m driven to celebrate their work. With Wed Society Columbus, I have the opportunity to curate, spotlight, and honor stunning local weddings while empowering the talented people who make them extraordinary. It’s a platform to both elevate our community’s wedding experience and strengthen the network behind it.
Laura: I’m most excited about creating a vibrant, connected wedding community in Columbus where the beautiful work of local talent is celebrated and supported. I truly admire the artistry and creativity of those who bring top-tier weddings to life. This is more than just a business for me; it’s an opportunity to make an impact, foster relationships, and build something lasting and meaningful for our city.
