Louisville is a city known for its unique blend of Southern charm, creative energy, and strong sense of community. As the new owner of Wed Society® | Louisville, Darci Puryear is excited to celebrate the talented wedding professionals who make the city such a special place to say “I do.”
Originally from Troy, Ohio, Darci moved to Kentucky to attend the University of Kentucky and quickly fell in love with Louisville’s character. “Louisville is a unique dichotomy, where you experience small-town personal connections, but still have some of the big-city excitement,” she shares. Over the years, she has built both a career and an extended family in the area, making Louisville her permanent home.
Darci’s professional journey began in interior design, earning a degree from the University of Kentucky with a concentration in Commercial Interior Design. While she appreciated the practical and problem-solving aspects of the industry, her career evolved into sales roles within the architecture, interiors, and construction sectors. Over the past 20 years, she has focused on building relationships, connecting with clients, and contributing to the growth of Louisville’s design community.
“I’ve seen a lot of positive change and growth in our Louisville design community, and it’s reflected in the improvements our built environment can make in our daily lives,” she says. Those years of relationship-building and community engagement ultimately prepared her for her next chapter with Wed Society.
After spending years connecting people within the architecture and design industries, Darci was ready for a new opportunity to bring those same skills into a different space. “Wed Society Louisville will positively impact local wedding industry professionals, regardless of their size,” she explains. She was drawn to the opportunity to support local businesses while also providing couples with inspiration and resources as they plan one of life’s most meaningful celebrations.
Looking ahead, Darci is excited to immerse herself in Louisville’s thriving wedding community. “Louisville has so many talented wedding professionals and beautiful venues,” she says. “I love that all the details come together to create one beautifully planned day, and in some small way, Wed Society can help bring all the pieces of the puzzle together.”
