A Virginia native, Alicia studied mathematics at the University of Virginia before earning her graduate degree from James Madison University. Her professional journey took her across the U.S. and Europe, where she spent fifteen years leading sustainability initiatives with a strong focus on sales, marketing strategy, and partnership development. She managed growth efforts for green energy products, worked closely with small businesses to implement strategic upgrades, and collaborated with multinational organizations to align messaging and drive results. Along the way, she also stepped into entrepreneurship, giving her firsthand experience with the rewards—and challenges—of building something from the ground up.
While living abroad, Alicia welcomed both of her children and embraced years filled with travel and cultural experiences. Yet even with those incredible opportunities, Virginia remained home at heart. “While we had an amazing time traveling, we felt drawn back to Virginia and our friends and family,” she shares. Returning to the area gave her the opportunity to invest her energy into something deeply local and community-driven.
When Alicia discovered Wed Society, it immediately resonated. “Running my own small business showed me how important relationships are,” she explains. She understands how difficult it can be for business owners to manage operations, marketing, and growth all at once. Wed Society stood out as a way to strengthen those connections and help talented wedding vendors reach couples who are actively searching for what they offer, while creating a supportive network of professionals who grow together.
Looking ahead, Alicia is most excited about cultivating genuine relationships throughout the Northern Virginia wedding community. “I’m most looking forward to getting to know vendors, learning what makes their work special, and connecting them with couples who truly value what they do,” she says. With deep Virginia roots and a heart for collaboration, Alicia is poised to elevate the region’s wedding professionals and build a trusted resource for couples planning their celebrations.
