Wedding Gowns: Designers to Watch

2022 Wedding Gowns - Designers to Watch - Leanne Marshall

The trends are in for 2022 weddings, and we see so many wonderful wedding gown styles! There’s so much inspiration, and we don’t want you to miss a thing, so we’ve compiled a shortlist of must-see designers for 2022 wedding gowns.

WEDDING GOWN DESIGNERS YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS

From the well-known to the up-and-coming, here’s our shortlist for designers to watch in 2022 because their dresses will be the must-have wedding gown for 2022 brides.

1. Leanne Marshall

Leanne Marshall specializes in “dresses made for movement,” and we predict you’ll be seeing her dresses front and center during the next wedding season — and beyond!

Leanne Marshall has started to showcase a watercolor effect on her gowns that is so on-trend we can’t stand it in her most recent collections. Brides can have the best of all the worlds with a wedding dress that feels bridal and looks like an ethereal dancer’s dress.

The splash of color is amazing, but her designs don’t stop there. Expect to see puffed and bishop sleeves to round out her romantic collection.

2. Kate Halfpenny

Kate Halfpenny is the creative push behind the British bridal brand Halfpenny London and a companion brand that features bridesmaid dresses called Sister. Halfpenny nails the modern yet luxe aesthetic with the flexibility of separate pieces that so many brides are looking for. It’s becoming more and more common for brides to have multiple looks in a single night — and for them to want to enjoy their dress beyond the big day! For that reason, you can expect to see more and more Kate Halfpenny gowns taking Instagram by storm in 2022. (Remember, we told you here!)

Why is she a stand-out designer to keep your eye on? Her headpieces and veils are the perfect bridal touch and pure fire when it comes to fashion! (That’s just one of the many reasons.)

Also, texture and embellishments are on the hot list for wedding gowns in 2022 — and that’s what her latest collection is all about!

3. Zuhair Murad

Zuhair Murad has created a line full of expert embroidery and over-the-top glamour that brides love for 2022! His Spring 2022 collection features a range of elegant wedding gowns with a blend of high-fashion and old-world romance.

Zuhair doesn’t just design exquisite wedding gowns. He also is adept at modern bridal wear such as bridal pantsuits and mini wedding dresses.

In addition to his collections, Zuhair also does stunning bespoke work.

4. Monique Lhuillier

Okay, it’s no surprise that Monique Lhuillier is a must-watch for any bridal season, but her collections for 2021-2022 are particularly stellar. They are taking Instagram and the entire wedding industry by storm. From billowing florals to delicate feathering, Monique Lhuillier is setting the trends for what brides will be wearing for the next few years — and it’s something to keep an eye on for all manner of wedding style details!

The beauty of the Monique Lhuillier wedding gown collection is how versatile the pieces are. It’s something that entire wedding parties can take part in from mother-of-the-bride to maids-of-honor.

5. Scorcesa

Scorcesa made a noticeable splash for their Spring/Summer 2022 bridal wear line, and we’re saying they are definitely a designer to watch for 2022 wedding gowns — separates, pantsuits, and more! (They have a particular focus on courthouse wedding-style pantsuits that we think brides will love using in for more than just a courthouse wedding!)

BONUS: DESIGNERS CONTINUING THEIR HOT STREAK

Here are a few designers that will continue to dominate the trends in 2022 wedding gowns.

Rime Arodaky

Rime has created THE wedding jumpsuit that has taken the wedding fashion industry by storm — not to mention Instagram and inspired a slew of dupes.

But their resort-style bridal wear we see for their 2022 collections will be inspiring brides to wear white throughout their wedding season — and for all manner of wedding events.

Odylyne The Ceremony

This is another designer who has been on a hot streak in 2021 and there’s not sign of stopping in 2022. Like Rime, Odylyne has a signature look and a piece taking Instagram by storm — the Caspian mini wedding dress and now a similar look called Casden is set to be just as popular in 2022.

But mini wedding dresses aren’t the only thing on the horizon. Odylyne gets glittery and romantic with looks complete with puffed sleeves and more!

This is just a quick look at some of the many amazing designers and designs we expect to see take off in 2022! Do you have a favorite designer or look for the 2022 previews? Share in the comments below.
