Charleston and Hilton Head represent some of the most sought-after wedding destinations on the East Coast, known for their historic charm, coastal beauty, and thriving community of world-class wedding professionals. As the new owners expanding into Charleston + Hilton Head, Amy Marshall and Frank Murray bring a proven vision of community-first leadership and relationship-building that has already transformed the wedding industry in Raleigh. Just over a year and a half ago, they launched Wed Society Raleigh with a singular belief: that when talented wedding professionals genuinely know, trust, and support one another, everyone benefits—especially the couples.
“When we launched Raleigh, our vision was never simply to build a wedding publication,” Amy explains. “It was to build a community.” That philosophy has taken root in unexpected ways. Today, the Raleigh market has grown to more than 150 local wedding professionals, and what started as business connections have evolved into genuine friendships and collaborative partnerships. “We’ve seen friendships turn into referrals, collaborations become businesses, and competitors become champions for one another,” Amy shares. “It’s become exactly what we hoped it would be: a community that believes there’s room for everyone to succeed.”
The most personal testament to this approach came in May, when Amy and Frank celebrated their own wedding—surrounded by more than 25 Wed Society members who helped bring their day to life. “That wasn’t a business decision, it was personal,” Frank reflects. “These are people we’ve come to know, trust, and genuinely call friends. Having them celebrate alongside us was one of the most meaningful parts of our wedding and a reminder that what we’re building is so much bigger than marketing.”
The confidence to expand into Charleston + Hilton Head grew not from market analysis alone, but from witnessing the power of intentional relationship-building. “Our members have embraced the community we’ve built,” Amy explains, “and many are just as excited as we are to expand their reach, grow their portfolios, and build relationships in a second market. That enthusiasm has been incredibly validating.” The coastal destination also holds undeniable appeal. “Charleston + Hilton Head is one of the most beautiful wedding destinations in the country,” Frank notes. “From historic venues and waterfront celebrations to coastal resorts and Lowcountry charm, it offers an incredible backdrop for unforgettable weddings.”
As they bring Wed Society to this new market, Amy and Frank are focused on strengthening what already thrives rather than reinventing it. “Charleston + Hilton Head is already home to some of the most talented wedding professionals in the industry,” Amy says. “Our goal is to foster genuine relationships and create opportunities for vendors to collaborate on beautiful work, learn from one another, and collectively elevate the industry.” They’re equally excited about the cross-market opportunities. “It’s been so much fun watching our Raleigh members become excited about expanding into a new market,” Frank adds. “We believe both communities will benefit from those connections.”
The approach they’re bringing mirrors what has worked in Raleigh: curated networking events, editorial storytelling, strategic marketing, and a platform that celebrates exceptional local businesses while fostering genuine relationships. “At the end of the day, that’s what Wed Society is all about,” Amy reflects. “Beautiful weddings will always be the outcome, but meaningful community is the foundation that makes it all possible.”
With a passion for connection and a deep investment in the professionals who create extraordinary celebrations, Amy Marshall and Frank Murray are positioned to make Wed Society® Charleston + Hilton Head a transformative force in one of the country’s most vibrant wedding markets.
